Bar/BAT Mitzvah Ceremonies for 26 boys and girls - Ramla
Children's Center
We the graduates of Essence February 2006 took it upon ourselves
to to arrange a Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony for 26 boys and girls at the
Ramla youth center. As a preparation for the cermonies, our group met
with the children in order to get to know them personally. Coaches from
the "Oranim Midrasha" had 2 meetings with the children to prepare them
for the religeous and secular aspects of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
The ceremonies were held on 22.5.2006, which including Aliyah to the
Torah at the Western (Wailing) Wall in Jerusalem, celebration feasts,
a guided tour thru the Western Wall tunnels, certificate awarding ceremony
and a dance party.

Before the ceremony, we saw to it that the youths received
appropriate shoes and clothing.
